Alice is this endlessly inspiring woman that transforms pieces of life into poetry; and I feel beyond thankful for having the opportunity to make a video out of her poem, with images we captured at sea, together or not, on different oceans.
I’m deeply grateful to be able to share my passion as raw as I do with her, with whom I can cry at the mere sight of a glassy ocean with a golden surface shining under the rays of a setting sun, or with whom I can become completely euphoric in front of a video of a wave breaking and running over the surface in slow motion. Together, we have the ability to push a button that unleashes our emotions and creates shots of ecstasy in our veins at the mere sight of a few drops of overly twinkling water.
To the Ocean, which fascinates our senses, shakes them up and brings them to life. To Alice, and to this perfect alchemy born from our love of water and its beauty.

I’m bigger than life, I’m your West And I’m your East ; I’m the forest And I’m the beast. A nowhere grave for some, To others, a prayer of freedom. I lull you in my arms Like a loving mother, You fall for my charms Like a young lover. I promise you no harm Like a friend forever ; But without raising an alarm, I revert to a stranger. Mirror of the skies to protect secrets, In my depth rests an enchantress ; Beauty that doesn’t seek attention, Tease it and you will get my motion. You can see me as I am, Blue, infinite and vague ; If you read what I hide, You’ll see me intense, pure and alive. Define life and you paint my portrait, Beginnings are what I create ; Define infinity and you point to my borders, Ends aren’t my disorders. Mythology sang my ode Where their morals cross my road, The blue wonder of my skin Turns into gold to some eyes When imagination of the unseen Raises important surprises Baits for greedy sailors Who seek the oldest treasures But my sirens keep them secure Inspiration to wise poets Who see rhyme in my features Will write their best sonnets But I am left bone dry and defenseless Facing exploitation and carelessness. Despite my eternal life Who’s there to hear my wrath? I’m bigger than life, I’m your West And I’m your East ; I’m the forest And I’m the beast."
